Translate, dictate and fix —
without leaving the channel.
Write the message the fast way and send it in the channel’s language, mentions and bold intact. Say it instead of typing it, and check it before it goes.

JiraJiraOnly the words change
Slack keeps its own format on the clipboard; Jarq reads it, translates only the words, and gives Slack the same format back.
- Mentions
- Emoji
- Bold, italic, strikethrough
- Inline code
- Links
- Bulleted and numbered lists
- Nesting
- Quotes
- Line breaks
Send it while the thread is still talking
Through a translator tab
With Jarq
Say it in yours, send it in theirs
Put the cursor in the message box, hold ⌥Space and talk. With a language set to type in, you speak the one you think in and the channel’s lands in the box, punctuated and ready to read before you send.
Fix the message you wrote in a hurry
Select the draft and press Fix: spelling, grammar and punctuation, and nothing else — the mention stays a mention, the bold stays bold, the words stay yours.
And the other half of a channel: reading it
Read what they wrote
Point at a message and press ⌥T. The translation appears beside the pointer; the channel does not change and nothing is sent. More on pointing.
Draft the reply from a note
Type what you want to say — “can’t make Thursday, suggest Friday” — select it and press Ask. The reply takes the note’s place, ready to read before it goes.
Before you try it here
Do mentions still notify people?
Can I translate a message someone else sent?
Why does the selection disappear for a moment?
How long can a message be?
Where does the text go?
Try it on your own page
One file, dragged into Applications. It sits in the menu bar and answers a key wherever you are already typing.
